The Gump's Project

In 1995 , John was contacted by Bob Stokes of Taylor Stokes Lighting Company. Stokes, a fellow Sausalitan, asked for John's contribution to the construction of a gigantic set of ceiling lamps for Gumps Department store in San Francisco. Gumps is a very high-end establishment located on Post Street in San Francisco where quality furnishing and household items are sold.

Working closely with Ira Kurlander, architect, the construction was made at the work shop and later the sections were doweled and reassembled on site where it remains today magnificent and admired by all.
